By using extraordinary images from Nashville's past, paired with the same views today, the book shows how the city has evolved into a vibrant and modern metropolis. Early pictures are from the 1800s and first half of the 20th century. New pictures are from the 21st century. A brief history in words is under or beside each picture describing the picture and its time.
