Buffalo River

The Buffalo River flows through the western and southern parts of Middle Tennessee.  It is the largest tributary of the Duck River and the longest river without a dam in Middle Tennessee.

Canoeing, tubing, and camping along the Buffalo River are very popular activities and there are a large number of businesses catering to the needs of people looking for summertime fun.  Please see the Canoeing Info Civic Scope page to find more information about the canoe rental and campsite facilities on the Buffalo River.

The Buffalo River is a great place for remote stream fishing and finding remote scenic areas of Tennessee in general due to the geology and abundant wild life.
