Digital Nashville-Civic Scope Partnership

Digital Nashville launches Civic Scope partnership to enable special site functionality for Digital Nashville members. - October 1, 2009

Digital Nashville is pleased to be named the first strategic partner of Civic Scope.org, a new local wiki committed to creating the authoritative source of information dedicated to Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Under the partnership, Digital Nashville members get exclusive early access to the Civic Scope database and platform, to upload, share and showcase their expertise in all areas of digital media, content, products and technology. and an early opportunity to create content about topics in their areas of expertise. The collective body of work created and edited by the Digital Nashville community will be accessible from the Digital Nashville Knowledge Library for increased visibility and easier discoverability by both Digital Nashville members and the public. In addition, Digital Nashville members have the option of adding their businesses in our Digital Business Directory.

"Behind the scenes at Digital Nashville, we've been on continual lookout for ways to add value for our members," says Elin Mulron, Founder of Digital Nashville. "One idea that's been on our radar almost since we launched just over a year ago was the idea of creating a knowledge library by and for members, where Digital Nashvillians could upload, share and, frankly, show off their expertise in all areas of digital media, content, products and technology. When we learned about Civic Scope, we realized we could offer that opportunity to our members without actually having to create the platform ourselves. When Civic Scope indicated an interest in pre-launching to a community like ours of digitally-savvy individuals, it seemed like a win-win."
