Hatch Show Print is a unique, working historical attraction on Lower Broadway in Nashville that is fascinating for those with an interest in Country Music as well as those with an interest the history of Nashville.
      Hatch Show Print creates show posters, as well as other custom printing jobs, using individual pieces of type carved out of blocks of wood. The wood is set in a form, inked and then a piece of paper is pressed down onto it, creating an image. Since each piece of type is handmade, the posters have a slightly irregular look that makes them appear to be antique, even though they could have been printed yesterday. Cases of antique type line one wall of the shop.
      Hatch has designed posters for contemporary stars ranging from Shania Twain and Trisha Yearwood to Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen as well as many of the biggest musical acts of the past.

      Hatch Show Print is a unique, working historical attraction on Lower Broadway in Nashville that is fascinating for those with an interest in Country Music as well as those with an interest the history of Nashville.         Hatch Show Print is now owed by the Country Music Foundation, but was founded in 1879 by the Hatch family. Their first print job announced the appearance in Nashville of Henry Ward Beecher, the famed abolitionist and brother of Harriet Beecher Stowe, the famous author of Uncle Tom's Cabin. As Nashville went on to become the headquarters of Country Music, Hatch printed show bills for many of the acts that appeared at the Ryman Auditorium.
