Germantown (Downtown Nashville)

Germantown is an area about 1 mile north of downtown Nashville, not to be confused with Germantown, TN near Memphis, located inside the I-65/I-40/I-24 loop, more specifically north of Jefferson St. and east of Rosa Parks Blvd.

Germantown is a historic neighborhood, incorporated into the city limits of Nashville in 1865. As such, Germantown is the host of many unique homes, condos, and restaurants that take advantage of this heritage. Werthan Lofts (which is the old Werthan Mill converted into modern lofts), Morgan Park Place, 4th and Monroe, and Germantown Lofts are some of the newer condos located in this area. Restaurants include Germantown Cafe, The Mad Platter, Monell's, and City House.

Germantown is also the host of the annual Nashville Oktoberfest as well as the Germantown Street Festival.

More info about the history of Germantown, businesses, and homes can be found at the Historic Germantown website.
