River Oaks Subdivision (Brentwood)

    River Oaks is a subdivision of several hundred homes in Brentwood (Williamson County.) The subdivision is bordered by Granny White Pike on the east and Old Hickory Boulevard on the north.
    River Oaks was one of the first subdivisions established in Brentwood and much of the construction took place in the 1970s. There are a large number of ranch-style homes in River Oaks, although there are also two-story homes. The homes are generally 3,000 square feet and larger, although a few are smaller than that. Sales prices in 2007 and 2008 generally began in the $400,000s.  Homes in River Oaks are set on lots of one acre or more.
    River Oaks children are zoned for Scales Elementary School, Brentwood Middle School and Brentwood High School in the Williamson County public school system.

   River Oaks Homeowners Association is the neighborhood organization. Dues are voluntary, although the neighborhood was considering a proposal to make them mandatory. The association maintains the appearance of the three official entrances to the subdivision among other duties.
