Traffic Camera Information

If you spend a lot of time in the car during rush hour this information might be very helpful.

TDOT Smartway Camera Map - Pictured below at the I-440 and I-65 junction allows you to click around and see real time traffic cameras all around the State!

TDOT_camera_TDOT_Traffic_Cameras_I40_at_I65_JunctionWebsites devoted to displaying traffic information are becoming increasingly more popular on the internet.  A Google search for 'Nashville Traffic' returns quite a few results.  Although the popular websites are able to display the traffic flow data with a slicker interface, TDOT's own website has the most comprehensive information we could find.  In addition to the typical traffic flow data that is becoming very common on popular mapping software websites, the user is able to view every single traffic cameras' live view in and around Nashville (there are a LOT more than you would think), checkboxes can be clicked to view information about construction sites, traffic incidents, and message signs.  All of the icons that appear on the map can be moused-over and clicked on to view the most up to date reports on the particular construction, incident,or message sign.  This site can easily save you hours in your car and gallons of gas if you learn how to examine it properly.
